The Pet Sematary Official Poster Highlights The Creepy Graveyard We've Always Feared

The official poster for Pet Sematary has just been revealed and it's showing us where the horror truly lies. The image confirms that the creepiest thing about the Stephen King story is still the dark graveyard.

There is little doubt that the novel had several truly terrifying scenes. However, the part where Louis Creed finally discovered what is beyond the animal cemetery has the real creepy vibe. Not surprisingly, the poster highlights the scene perfectly. Check it out below.

Pet Sematary is based on King's 1983 novel that follows a young family moving to a small town in Maine. Louis immediately strikes up a friendship with their neighbor Jud Crandall, who shares a terrible secret with him about the pet cemetery behind their new home.

The film stars Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Louis and John Lithgow (The Crown) as Jud. The Killing star Amy Seimetz plays Louis' wife Rachel Creed. Jeté Laurence has been cast the Creeds' daughter Ellie while twins Hugo and Lucas Lavoie will portray the young Gage. The movie has also decided to use a not-so-friendly Maine Coon to play Ellie's cat Church.

The trailer for Pet Sematary certainly had people terrified with a surprising new addition to the movie. Although the novel and the first film adaptation never featured other children, the teaser suggests that the Creed family will be dealing with strange kids walking around the woods. We don't know how this will play out but it's certainly something to look forward to in the horror flick.

Pet Sematary is scheduled for release on April 5, 2019.
