Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Featurette Offers First Look at Zorri Bliss with Rey

We are only three weeks away from the premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. However, a new featurette for Episode IX has just been dropped and it offers a behind-the-scenes look at how almost every film in the Skywalker Saga was shot. In addition to heartwarming footage from the past, we also get a stunning new look at Zorri Bliss meeting up with Rey.

The featurette opens with an awesome blooper scene from A New Hope where Harrison Ford mistakenly says "store" instead of "star" then jokes about bouncing "into a supermarket." Not surprisingly, Mark Hamill and the late Peter Mayhew could barely keep a straight face through the scene.

This is followed by the origins of Star Wars and how the story actually started out. The interviews featuring Hamill and Anthony Daniels switch from the old ones where they are still uncertain about the saga's future to the latter ones where they are grateful for being part of the franchise. There is also a heartwarming shot of Mayhew with the new Chewbacca Joonas Soutamo who clearly looks up to the older man.

Amidst all the archive footage, we get glimpses at new footage from The Rise of Skywalker. There's a brief interaction between Daisy Ridley's Rey and Keri Russell's Zorri Bliss, which hints at the two characters meeting up before all the action.

It's an amazing featurette that really hits you at the feels (be warned: seeing Mayhew will make you a little teary-eyed) and we can't wait to see The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.
