Shazam! Director Points Out One Mistake Everyone Somehow Missed

It's safe to say that filmmaking isn't easy. In addition to finding the right actors and the perfect script, you will also need to edit the entire thing and take out all of the errors. Unfortunately, some mistakes can get overlooked and end up in the final cut. This happened to the DC Extended Universe flick Shazam! but it seems like nobody noticed, until now.

Director David F. Sandberg has shared a new video on YouTube where he hilariously points out how he and his crew solved a certain problem in Shazam!. Sandberg refers to the scene where Zachary Levi is supposed to be flying (or at least trying to fly) through the mall while people are desperately trying to go the other way. To make Levi look like he is flying (again, trying to fly), they "put a bunch of stunt guys in blue and strap the actor to a giant tuning fork."

Once the scene is captured, Sandberg admitted that the VFX artists then spent several months erasing the Blue Man Group from the shot. Unfortunately, despite looking at the scene for so many weeks, everyone misses the fact that some of the production crew are still in the shot simply standing around. Since it's too late to erase them, Sandberg revealed that he decided to "add some bags and a mop" so they look like shoppers.

It's awesome that Sandberg is refreshingly honest about what happened while working on Shazam! and he even pokes fun at his own mistakes. But let's be honest, those bags and mops worked because nobody wondered why those people were ignoring the flying man in the mall.

Shazam! is now available on digital.
