Jared Leto's Morbius The Living Vampire Working Title Revealed

Sony is officially moving forward with Morbius The Living Vampire. The film starring Jared Leto as the Marvel comic book bloodsucker has been given an official working title.

According to Production Weekly, the Sony flick will go under the working title Plasma. It's certainly a fitting title considering that it's a movie about a vampire yet there is a serious lack of hints as to what we can expect from the film.

The highly anticipated movie is still shrouded in mystery. So far, the only confirmations have been that Leto will play the titular role and will be directed by Daniel Espinosa. There have been reports that Martine Bancroft will be the female lead while Loxias Crown is expected to be the main villain. In addition to that, Leto has teased on the possibility that production will begin before the end of the month.

The Academy Award winner recently posted an interesting video on his official Twitter account. The short video shows Leto slowly shaving his beard and teasing on the arrival of Morbius. The Blade Runner 2049 actor even added the caption, "And so it begins... #MORBIUS."

It wouldn't be a surprise if Leto begins working on the film soon. Hopefully, this would mean that Morbius will get an early release and possibly hit theaters in late 2019.

Morbius The Living Vampire is the second Sony film that will focus on established Spider-Man villains. The studio is hoping that the movie will follow on Venom's success and make way for more flicks featuring Spider-Man characters.
