Final Fantasy XV is Now a Launch Game for Google Stadia

Final Fantasy XV was technically a good game that launched incomplete, though it was fun enough to gain some fans who would buy all of the DLC. The game actually made a ton of money on PS4 and Xbox One, with its recent PC release also making more for Square Enix. Well, it looks like Square Enix is hoping to use their current-gen money-maker a third time since the action JRPG will now be a Google Stadia launch title.

Originally, there were 12 games listed as part of the Google Stadia's launch lineup, which was far from impressive. The fact that most of these games were released in previous systems could also be considered a turnoff, with Google hoping that their approach to game streaming will be enough. Game Awards host Geoff Keighley recently announced that there would be 10 more games added to the Stadia launch lineup, one of which is Final Fantasy XV.

We're going to assume that this version of the game is going to be based on the amazing Windows port since that's basically Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition but with mods. Then again, this could also be a port of the Royal Edition console port, which wouldn't be a bad thing either. Point being, vanilla Final Fantasy XV shouldn't be in the Stadia launch, even if it wasn't a bad game.

Google Stadia launches on November 19. Final Fantasy XV is available on pretty much every gaming system not named the Nintendo Switch.
