Pokemon games aren't known for their stories, so it might come as a shock that the latest trailer for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is really intense. The trailer has very dramatic music, some ominous words, and plenty of intriguing imagery that makes these two games even more interesting than the original Sun and Moon.
We start with some ominous words about a whole that supposedly opens up in the skies of Alola before the Ultra Recon Squad reveal that Necrozma plans to get all of the region's light. Not long after we see Necrozma have a battle with Lunala and some of the newer Ultra Beasts come to the world. Apparently, this isn't the Alola we know and they're right about that.
It is cool seeing this much effort put in the trailer since it makes the story more interesting. The original Sun and Moon had a fairly decent story with likable characters, so seeing Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon up the stakes is an interesting move, to say the least. Add some of the newer gameplay elements and it's quite clear that this game is a must-buy for fans, even if they own Sun and Moon already.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon hit game stores on November 17.
