MTG Guilds of Ravnica Buy-A-Box Promo Leaked

Magic: The Gathering's Standard format is about to rotate once again when the upcoming set Guilds of Ravnica comes out. For many players, it's a pain not being able to play certain cards from the Kaladesh and Amonkhet blocks but the bright side is that we're returning to Ravnica once again and that means our favorite guilds will be back. Well, at least five of the ten guilds will return in the next set, and now, we have our first look at a huge creature from the Selesnya guild.

Thanks to a leak on Wizards of the Coast's German Dominaria product page, we know that a classic Ravnica mechanic will also return: Convoke! Check out this giant armored wurm!

Although we still don't know it's exact name, we know that it's a 10-to-cast 16/16 Indestructible creature with Convoke, an ability that lets you tap creatures to reduce its cost by 1 colorless mana so if you have a bunch of creatures, you can play this card earlier than if you just use lands to pay for its mana cost.

The leaked image also reveals the booster box packaging for Guilds of Ravnica. It looks nice and it looks like Vraska will return in this set. A Guilds of Ravnicaartwork featuring Vraska was recently revealed, and she'll probably play a major role in the set's storyline.

Guilds of Ravnica will feature five guilds: Selesnya (green-white), Boros (red-white), Golgari (black-green), Izzet (blue-red), and Dimir (blue-black).

The following set, Ravnica Allegiance will feature the other five guilds: Azorius (blue-white), Rakdos (black-red), Gruul (red-green), Simic (green-blue), and Orzhov (black-white). It will be released in January 2019.

Guilds of Ravnica will be released on October 5.
