The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was recently released. Among the new footage seen in the trailer, one unknown location got fans really curious. It was a mysterious place where the ruins of the Death Star II is seen. And now, the name of the planet is finally revealed.
Announced on the Disney Parks Blog, there's going to be a massive The Rise of Skywalker update coming to Disneyland on December 20, which is also the day of the movie's premiere. Along with the updates are new characters and worlds from the film.
Another interesting addition to the Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, is the said mysterious planet called the Kef Bir. It is an ocean moon that was seen briefly in the recent The Rise of Skywalker trailer. And since the ruins of Death Star II is seen on it, this could lead to an answer regarding the result of the explosion that took place in Return of the Jedi.
The name doesn't ring a bell, but adding the oceanic moon could mean that the location would be essential to the movie's plot. It is also possible that it could be the location of the majority of the scenes. It is also speculated that the new character, Jannah, who is played by Naomi Ackie, would be coming from this mysterious place.
And since Disney will officially add this cool location very soon, fans will be able to experience and visit the oceanic moon Kef Bir through Star Tours. It is also worth noting that the blog mentioned "destinations," which could open up the possibility of adding new worlds. aside from Kef Bir, as it progresses.
Kef Bir comes to Star Tours at Disneyland, Disney World, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disney starting December 20, 2019. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released on the same day.
