Is This Ewan McGregor Getting Ready For The Obi-Wan Standalone Film?

After the success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm is more confident to push forward with their Star Wars anthology films. This year will see the release of Solo, and it's just a matter of time before they announce their next anthology—possibly an Obi-Wan Kenobi-centered film. It seems that Obi-Wan actor Ewan McGregor has started training for his role.

Of course, there's still no confirmation that the next anthology film is Kenobi's but the signs are all here. McGregor has said that he's very willing to come back as Obi-Wan already, and it's only a matter of time before Lucasfilm announces the next anthology.

Though you may think that Revenge of the Sith was McGregor's last appearance as Obi-Wan, he actually did a small voice cameo for Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2015. It may be a stretch to have a young Obi-Wan return in the sequel trilogy, but McGregor can very well come back as a grizzled middle-aged Ben Kenobi in an anthology film.

No official announcement has been made about the spinoff, but fans have their fingers crossed that this is a sign that the film could be on its way soon.
