It looks like Bandai Namco will continue supporting Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for a long time. The first Extra Pack came out recently, adding Buu (Gohan Absorbed), Dabura, Tapion, and Android 13 to the game. Now, the publisher has given details for Extra Pack #2, along with a massive free update that will make the game more replayable. Most fans thought Xenoverse 2 would roll over and die after Dragon Ball FighterZ was announced but that doesn't appear to be the case.
Extra Pack #2 will add a new story scenario and four playable characters. In the new story, we will meet a mysterious new character called FU with their Master Characters. No details on the four characters have been revealed, though fans are hoping for Jiren, Ultra Instinct Goku, and more Dragon Ball Super characters.

Fu is the focus of the story, though his origins remain unknown. It's worth noting that in the now-canceled Dragon Ball Online (DBO), Fu was going to be the child of Mira and Towa, the main antagonists of Xenoverse 2 who first appeared in DBO. Since Xenoverse 2 altered the relationship of Mira and Towa, it will be interesting to see how Fu comes to fruition.
As for the free update, it was announced that players would be able to customize the game's playable characters. Though not as in-depth as the character creator, players will be able to change their moves, alter the colors of their outfits, and even give them new costumes. Goku's Journey to the West costume was the only alternate look confirmed thus far. Cross Ultimate Attacks will also be added, letting players do an Ultimate Attack with another character.

Considering the wealth of content being added to the game, it looks like support for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will continue for a long while. The game is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
