Dark Souls Remastered Delayed for Nintendo Switch

In an unfortunate bit of news, Dark Souls: Remastered will not be making the original May 25 release date for the Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco has confirmed that the game would be getting delayed for Nintendo's console-handheld hybrid, though it will still come out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in the aforementioned date.

The official Dark Souls Twitter claims that the Switch version is being delayed for causality, so it looks like that version still has bugs that need to be remedied. Apparently, the game will be coming out on the Switch later this summer, though it no longer has a definitive release date for the time being.

As if that wasn't enough, the Solaire of Astora amiibo will also be delayed. Considering how amiibos usually give players a few bonuses, the delay for this figurine makes sense. Here is hoping that the delay isn't too severe since dying in these dark dungeons via handheld has some appeal.

For those unaware, Dark Souls has gained a reputation for being a ridiculously hard game. This technically started with Demon's Souls but no one really mentions that game anymore. Despite, or maybe because of its insane difficulty, it has become ridiculously popular with gamers and has two sequels.
