Marvel Netflix's Rosario Dawson Cast in the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot

Rosario Dawson is probably best known to Marvel fans as the Marvel Netflix's Night Nurse, Claire Temple, but with that universe being officially canceled, Dawson is moving over to star in the ViewAskewniverse of Kevin Smith.

Just in, Dawson has been announced as a member of the cast of the Jay and Silent Bob reboot. Here's Smith's official post:

This is actually the second film that Dawson has starred in for Smith. She had played the role of Becky in the Clerks sequel, but it looks like she won't be reprising that character for this movie—a shame seeing as I really liked Dawson in Clerks II and I wanted to see how her life turned out with Dante and Randall.

Besides Dawson, the movie has confirmed a lot of other celebrities making cameos already. Smith had revealed that the reboot will have appearances from Jason Lee, Kate Micucci, Molly Shannon, Shannon Elizabeth, and Jason Biggs. Even The Flash's Grant Gustin is set to make an appearance, as well as Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello.

We don't really know what direction the Jay and Silent Bob reboot will go, but seeing that Smith is a big fan of pop-culture, he could be using the film as a commentary on today's superhero movie climate. I'm just crossing my fingers that this becomes a new Renaissance for Smith, seeing as he hasn't exactly been pumping out movies like back in the day.

A shame since he's one of my favorite directors.

No release date has been set for the Jay and Silent Bob reboot.
