Zack Snyder Pokes fun at Justice League's Moustache Mishap

If Justice League has one controversy, it would be the fact that they had to CGI Henry Cavill's moustache out of the film, resulting in the first case of uncanny upper-lip in cinema. There are countless jokes about it online, and even director Zack Snyder has poked fun on how silly it looked.

Snyder had posted something about taking off his beard, when one fan suggested that he should use CGI to remove it. Snyder then replied with: "We all know that doesn't work."

The first shot of CGI-upper-lip Superman was considered jarring by so many viewers, and throughout the film, it had become some sort of game, finding out which shots of Superman had the CGI lip and which ones didn't. Though some effects work actually pulled it off, there were some shoddier scenes where Cavill just looked super creepy.

A lot of hard work had went behind making Justice League, but in the end, too many things just weren't working for the movie. Whedon's script revision had made the film too simple, and meddling from the studio resulted in a film that didn't fit the bill for a Batman v Superman follow-up.

Though some fans are hopeful that a Snyder-cut will be released, some people are positive that the cut will ever be released; there's even clashing reports on whether the cut exists. Either way, Snyder had been very happy to see that fans want to watch his version of the movie and not Whedon's.

Justice League is now out on digital and Blu-Ray.
