Zack Snyder Liked a Post About Joss Whedon Leaving Batgirl

Though Zack Snyder is credited as the director of Justice League, it was no secret that Joss Whedon tool over the project and did some major changes to Snyder's original vision. Now news has come out that Whedon has exited the Batgirl project, and Snyder has apparently shown his support to a fan who says this is a good thing.

A fan named Fiona Zheng (via Batman-News) had shared a post on Vero about Whedon leaving Batgirl with the article captioned:

More bad news for fans of DC Entertainment: Joss Whedon is giving up on his Batgirl movie

To which Zheng personally captioned:

Today, the only bad news is that the media/press still think Whedon stepping down was bad for the DCEU! #TheyReallyShouldRiseTheBarToBeMedia

The post was apparently "liked" by Snyder, which adds to the rumors that he was not happy with how Whedon handled the finalization of Justice League. For one, Snyder has never stepped up to the hate that the movie was receiving; also, he likes posts that request WB to release his cut of the film—if such a thing exists, anyway.

For now, WB has made Snyder take a backseat with the DCEU. Walter Hamada has now been appointed as the new head of DC movies, and I think it would be up to him to bring Snyder back onboard. Though some fans may argue that Snyder isn't the right fit for DC, I think it's admirable that he wanted to bring something more mature to superhero movies as compared to the MCU's kid-friendly properties.

Justice League is now available for home video.
