Fans around the world were shocked when Kevin Smith announced that he had survived a heart attack. Not only that but it was a near-fatal one, with Smith pointing out that his father had died from a heart attack many years ago. It's great to hear that he survived and we can only hope that he gets better in the coming days.
On Instagram, Smith discussed how he started feeling nauseous after a stand-up comedy gig. He then pointed out his increased sweating and sudden chest pain, which lead to his friends calling an ambulance for the comedic director.
It turns out he had a 100% blockage of his LAD artery, which means that he could have died. In fact, the doctor at the Glendale hospital told Smith that he would have died had he not canceled his show and go to the hospital. Scary.
While he survived and is grateful, Smith did point out that he had a great life and felt that he was content with his life. From his beautiful family to his career in film, comedy, and comics, it's hard to disagree with him.
