Wonder Woman Confirmed To Be In The Flashpoint Movie

Ezra Miller's Flash movie has gone through several rewrites and directors, but it seems that the studio has finally settled on adapting the Flashpoint Paradox storyline for the movie. There have been rumors before about Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman appearing in the film, and now we have confirmation that she is indeed reprising her role for the Flashpoint spinoff.

This is confirmed by Deadline who noted that Gadot will be appearing in the Wonder Woman sequel as well as this movie. Fans who read the comic know that Diana ends up being one of the main villains of that storyline, and a huge part of the conflict is the war of the Amazons with the Atlanteans.

With the DCEU being as young as it is, I don't think Warner Bros is ready to show Wonder Woman in an awful light. At best, I think this will be a loose adaptation. Then again, it would be pretty ballsy for the studio to have a movie where Diana sleeps with the King of Atlantis, beheads his wife Mera in combat, then wears her crown as some kind of sick trophy.

Did I also mention that she killed a young and defenseless Billy Batson a.k.a. Shazam?

We still have no further details on Wonder Woman's role in the film, but her being the villain would make for one cool Flashpoint movie.

Flashpoint is expected to come out sometime in 2020, but we can check out all the characters in Justice League on Nov. 17.
