CD Projekt Red, creators of the critically-acclaimed The Witcher 3, surprised fans at the Microsoft's E3 keynote today to show off their much-awaited RPG game, Cyberpunk 2077. It's been years since the first teaser for Cyberpunk 2077 hit the webs, and now, we get our first official trailer that shows off the awesome world CD Projekt Red is building.
The title of the game gives you an idea what to expect here. In this 2077 world, the society is divided between those who have everything and those who have nothing. The United States of America is gone, balkanized and bankrupted by wars, fame, rebellions, and orbital strikes. Mega-corporations have taken over, building walled enclaves guarded by elite security forces. Only those who work for the corporations live within the walls while the ones outside struggle in chaos.
While the trailer doesn't reveal any gameplay mechanics, it shows enough stunning science fiction visuals and intense action to get us hyped. Body modifications, high-tech gadgets, dystopian society, and robots all give us a taste of what CD Projekt has been brewing for years, and it looks like it will be more epic than The Witcher 3.
