Cyberpunk 2077 Rumoured To Be A First-Person Shooter Game

CD Projekt Red is famous for its Witcher franchise, which is known for its excellent third-person combat system, but it looks like their next major project, Cyberpunk 2077, will have a different gameplay.

The studio has been developing the game for years but they have kept things under wraps and will most likely unveil the game at this year's E3. Gamepressure is reporting that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature gameplay far different from the Witcher games. Instead of being a third-person shooter, the game will be a first-person shooter with role-playing game elements.

A source close to the site said that the game won't just be a "regular shooter" and noted that the game "should be closer to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided than Bioshock." That's probably because Deux Ex is also a cyberpunk franchise.

The site went on to report that CD Projekt studios – based in Warsaw and Cracow – are working hard, with the latter developing a specific part of the game that's set on the Moon. According to the site, it's a fast-paced portion that features wall-running, similar to what we've seen in the Titanfall games.

CD Project Red hasn't confirmed any of these details yet so take them with a grain of salt.
