These Game of Thrones Stars May Have Warned Fans About 'Disappointing' Season 8 All Along

The reviews for Game of Thrones Season 8 aren't exactly the most glowing, which breaks hearts of fans who have been looking forward to the epic conclusion of the HBO juggernaut. Even some of the cast members don't seem to be happy about the direction the show is taking.

Fans may not have understood then, but Jon Snow actor Kit Harington may have warned us about the final season before it even aired. In a Pop Buzz interview a few months back, he was asked to describe Game of Thrones Season 8. He chose "disappointing," which shocked the interviewer and also the fans, especially since such a word has rarely been associated, if not at all, associated with a show as brilliant as the series.

Whether he was joking or not, we don't know. He changed his answer to "epic." "I don't know, one of those," he said. The interview didn't get into the details behind the surprising answer. However, fans thought that he was being honest, but turned it into a joke.

Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys, also seems to have hinted at her disappointment. In an interview with ET, she started by saying that the final season is "the best season ever, ever, ever, forever."

When asked if she is happy with how things ended in Game of Thrones Season 8 in an interview with ET, she just let out a nervous laugh. A lot of fans just assumed that she was just being careful about revealing spoilers. Some took it to mean that the final episodes will not bode for her character. Looking back, however, a lot of fans think that her reaction now speaks volumes for what she really thinks about the new season.

Game of Thrones Season 8 is down to its final two episodes.
