The Flash Will Soon Face Off With Gorilla Grodd

A lot will happen when The Flash returns from its winter break.

Actor John Wesley Shipp, who plays Jay Garrick, has already confirmed that he will play a bigger role when he returns. We also know that Savitar will still be there, as Team Flash tries to save Iris from the sad foreseen fate.

And there may even be a cameo of sorts from Earth-19's Accelerated Man. So you know there will be a lot to look forward to, not only in events but also characters.

A new tweet from David Sobolov, who provides the voice for Gorilla Grodd, has tweeted the ultimate confirmation, seen below.

So yes, the scary ape from S.T.A.R. Labs will be back when The Flash returns to TV. Sobolov even teases that there will be more news once Warner Bros. allows them to give more details.

So far, the last we've seen of Gorilla Grodd is him being sent off to the jungle refuge among the gorillas. He has already wreaked havoc before, thanks to the evil Harrison Wells' manipulation of the telepathic ape.

Seeing as how on-set shooting images have seen Grodd among the villains returning for the back half of The Flash season 3, this announcement is pretty much a sealed deal. The only thing we need to wait for is when Grodd will debut in the series.

The Flash will be back on Jan. 24, 207 on The CW.
