Stranger Things Season 2 Will Focus More On Will Byers

Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) was mostly missing from the majority of Stranger Things season one, but he was pretty much in the center of the series, seeing that everyone was finding out a way to get him back. Will returns in the second season, and it's confirmed that he'll have more things to do this time around.

In an interview with Collider, Shawn Levy explains:

"When we cast the kids, we cast Noah Schnapp as Will Byers knowing that he was only in a small amount of Season 1 because he was missing. And we cast him because we knew that kid was special. Even if we weren't going to call on his full reservoir of abilities in Season 1. Will Byers is very much at the center of Season 2. Noah steps up in the most staggering way. The Duffers and I, depending on who's directing when, we keep sending texts to each other going, ‘holy shit, Noah is crushing it' and we knew he had it in him, and it's really now to get in that moment, and put him firmly in the thick of story."

The ending of the first season opened up a lot of questions for what happened to Will, and it looks like he stayed too long in the Upside-Down that he brought some of it with him when he came back. Levy also admitted in the interview that he and the Duffer Brothers had come up with so much story that they had to save some of their ideas for the third season.

Stranger Things was probably one of the biggest series that came out last year, and despite the obvious 80s nostalgia, the show always kept audiences on the hook till the very last episode. I really can't wait to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store for season two.

Stranger Things returns on Halloween.
