Star Wars’ Mark Hamill Is Getting A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Mark Hamill is finally getting a star of his own on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after forty years making his debut in George Lucas' groundbreaking science fantasy film, Star Wars: A New Hope.

Variety reports that Hamill's ceremony is set to take place on March 8th, honoring his accomplishments as a Star Wars veteran and as a voice actor. Hamill will be the 2,630th star inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in California.

"Star Wars fans will be over the moon that hearing their idol Mark Hamill is going to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We are proud to add this extraordinary actor on our historic Walk of Fame," says Walk of Fame ceremonies producer Anna Martinez.

It's been a long time coming. We're glad to see Hamill finally getting his own star on the Walk of Fame, especially now after The Last Jedi. Sure the film ended up being the most divisive installment in the Star Wars saga and sure some fans didn't quite appreciate Luke being turned into a jaded hermit, Hamill did deliver a powerful performance in the film.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi gets its Digital Release on March 13 and its Blu-Ray and DVD release on March 27.
