Star Wars: Mark Hamill Admits He Likes The Last Jedi Green Milk

Luke Skywalker certainly loves his milk. When we first met Luke in A New Hope, he was sipping on blue milk. He then switched to green milk in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But which milk tastes better? Mark Hamill admitted he prefers the green stuff.

Hamill was recently asked what the blue milk in A New Hope tasted like. The Episode IX actor's response confirmed that it wasn't as pleasant as we all hoped. Check out his tweet below.

One fan then wondered which tasted better, the blue milk or the green milk. Hamill quickly answered that he preferred the green milk from the thala-sirens of Ahch-To.

Hamill's response might be a surprising one, but there is a good reason why the green milk tastes better. The actor had previously shared that the green milk used in The Last Jedi was actually coconut milk, which meant it was sweeter than regular milk. It's also very different from the blue milk (or Bantha milk), which was revealed to be made from "life-long milk" with blue food coloring.

It's good to know that the green milk tasted great. Unfortunately, we still won't be able to unsee the image of Luke milking a thala-siren and gulping the liquid down. That was probably the only time I could relate with Rey on a truly personal level.

Although blue milk might not be as yummy as green milk, the liquid has made more appearances throughout the Star Wars franchise. Padme Amidala brought a glass to Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones. The milk was also spotted in Star Wars Rebels and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Luckily, nobody had to drink the milk in any of these scenes.

Hamill will return as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IX, which is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
