Star Wars Legend Mark Hamill Supports Protesters At Women’s March With Leia Signs

Mark Hamill has nothing but support for the protesters that are walking up and down the streets to join this year's Women's March.

Taking to Twitter, the Star Wars legend told protesters that the late Carrie Fisher would be proud of their work, urging netizens to "Resist. Register. Vote!"

Hamill's post on the social media platform showed off a few shots of Leia-inspired protesters on the street. One photo gives fans a look at a woman holding up a sign showing Leia with the caption "we are the resistance." Another photo has a marcher going as far as wearing Leia's classic costume with a sign that shows off a witty pun reading "don't Leia hand on my healthcare."

Another protester also wears the Star Wars princess' garb, holding up a sign that tells people that "a woman's place is in the resistance," which is pretty fitting considering how Leia's been with the Rebellion and the Resistance almost all her life. Other women in the march also hold up a sign with the same message, only this time with a great drawing of Leia.

Fisher might have passed away in December 2016, however the Star Wars icon continues to live in the hearts of fans, friends, and family.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
