Star Wars: John Boyega Discusses Finn's Choice Between The First Order and Resistance

The last time we saw Finn, he was still knocked out from his battle with Kylo Ren. He had it rough from the start, when he was forced to become a First Order stormtrooper despite his hesitancy to pledge his allegiance to the sinister organization. When The Last Jedi debuts, Finn will surely have a difficult time, and according to John Boyega, must of the sequel will see him conflicted between the First Order and the Resistance.

The Star Wars Show talked to Boyega at Star Wars Celebration about what Finn is up to in The Last Jedi, and when they asked the actor about that, he said:

"I think Finn is at a point where he needs to find his place now. When he stabilizes and wakes up, it's time to choose his side. Are you part of the Resistance or are you going to continue running from the First Order?"

"This film follows his journey to deciding - and when he does decide - it's game on," he added.

Directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to release in theaters on December 15, 2017. The film also features returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. Benicio Del Toro, and Kelly Marie Tran and Laura Dern make their Star Wars debut in this film.
