Who said expansions are only meant for DLCs in videogames? For those who want to expand their game, Star Wars: Rebellion the board game will now have a new mechanic.
According to Comicbook.com, Fantasy Flight Games will be releasing the Rise of the Empire expansion. This will be the first expansion for the board game, but it will be worth it, since it will take some notes from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Through this new expansion, Rise of the Empire will bring fans a glimpse of how they Rebel Alliance had stolen the plans. At the same time, the expansion will bring in some new heroes, villains, vehicles, and troopers from Rogue One. There will also be some new characters and happenings from Star Wars: Rebels.
The board game Star Wars: Rebellion will have eight new leaders, some plastic miniatures, markers, attachment rings, three new dice, and over a hundred cards.
This addition will also make the game even more exciting. Star Wars: Rebellion already puts the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance against each other, given that the player will have to choose which one to be in control of. From there, the player will make use of forces, starships, and systems to become your own commander.
Fans who may want to get their hands on Star Wars: Rebellion's new expansion, you only need to wait until the third quarter, when Rise of the Empire is expected to go on sale.
