New Trailer For War For The Planet Of The Apes Starts Out Like Justice League Trailer

A new trailer has dropped for War for the Planet of the Apes, and for a while I thought the uploader messed up and posted the latest Justice League trailer. Even the musical cues sound like the beginning of the Man of Steel theme. Check it out here:

Now on to the trailer itself; I actually think this one is way better than the first teaser that we got, and now I'm pumped for the movie. The entire story is fleshed out a bit more this time, and Andy Serkis' Caesar has evolved into a fully-functional sentient being.

Speaking of Andy Serkis, he has been doing some great work with his development of this character. The beginning of the franchise had him a simple ape doing sign language, and now he's the leader of an entire species that can speak full sentences. Can mo-cap performances even get you Oscars? Cause Andy Serkis should be nominated for something!

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

War for the Planet of the Apes comes out on July 14.
