People have a lot of questions about Star Wars: Episode IX now that J.J. Abrams has announced that the film has finished principal photography. Perhaps the biggest mystery we could find in the wrap photo is, What planet are Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron on? Some interesting new details might actually confirm that the story is going back to Tatooine.
We haven't seen Luke Skywalker's home planet since the prequel trilogy when Anakin Skywalker went back home in a failed attempt to save his mother Shmi. Nevertheless, people believe that the Skywalker Saga will conclude in the desert planet this year.
According to ScreenRant, a close inspection of the background in the wrap photo reveals a curious structure in the background that resembles a moisture vaporator that the Lars family used in A New Hope.
Is this the confirmation we have all been waiting for? It's still unclear if the trio has gone back to Luke's old home (which, by the way, has been destroyed in A New Hope). Nevertheless, people are hoping that the storyline will touch on a return to Tatooine in order to give the Skywalker Saga a fitting conclusion. For now, we recommend taking this with a grain of salt.
The moisture vaporator isn't the only thing that fans have seen in the background. Someone also pointed out that a figure behind Daisy Ridley somehow resembles Dash Rendar from Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. However, it's highly unlikely that Dash is still alive after all this time, right?
The completion of principal photography could also mean that we will finally learn the Episode IX title really soon. The Star Wars UK Twitter account had teased on "the calm before the galactic storm" so it's possible that the first trailer (which will include the film's subtitle) will be dropped within the next few days.
Star Wars: Episode IX will premiere on December 20.
