New Punisher Stills Give Great Look At Frank Castle's Iconic Vest

Jon Bernthal's Punisher was so well-received in the second season of Daredevil that he got his own spinoff series which is set to come out later in the year. We have some new stills of Bernthal as Castle in the show, and they give us a great look at his iconic Punisher vest.

Fans will remember that Castle was able to stock-up on his gear thanks to him killing Tom Clancy's character in the end of Daredevil 2. We may not have gotten the classic "clean" skull logo in the film, but this "rough" looking skull still manages to look pretty kickass in itself.

We still have no official release date for the series, but a lot of people are guessing that The Punisher will make its way to Netflix by November. Hopefully we'll be getting a proper outline on the series and a better look at all of the upcoming characters—especially Ben Barnes who is playing the disfigured villain from the comics, Jigsaw.

I thought Bernthal absolutely stole the show in Daredevil, and I found myself way more invested in his story as compared to Matt ditching Foggy to fight ninjas with Elektra. Maybe it's just my personal preference, but if Marvel Netflix wanted something gritty and grounded, they should have stayed with the more realistic storylines (like Kingpin) instead of pursuing something so unreal as a secret evil ninja clan.

But that's just my opinion.

The Punisher is expected to hit Netflix sometime later this year.
