New Injustice 2 Datamine Confirms New Character

Apparently, it seems that dataminers of Injustice 2 are very much ready. Even before developer NetherRealm Studios has officially released the character, we actually get footage of Joker fighting it off with The Flash.

Joker is looking very slick with his fedora and suit, a gangster look that's perfect for the Clown Prince of Crime. The footage shows a potential power-up or assist for Joker, as a floating heart (is that from ladylove Harley?) seems to somehow restore him.

Still, for those who were looking forward to Joker, this may not be the best footage to watch. The Scarlet Speedster wins this round, but perhaps in the official trailer, we'll get to see more of Joker's powers and abilities.

The leak comes from a NeoGAF poster, alongside images of how Joker potentially looks for Injustice 2.

Technically, this datamine is far from a surprise. The recently released achievements for Injustice 2 had already hinted that players will have to defeat Joker somehow to attain specific achievements.

Perhaps the bigger question here is how he will be coming back to the narrative of Injustice 2, considering that he was killed off in the original game to set off the major events.

Right now, our eyes are just drawn to his design. It's quite a different take on how Joker usually looks like. Gone is the long face and green hair—or perhaps the latter is underneath that fedora. Speculations are that someone else is bringing trouble as The Joker in his stead. But his smile is still ass menacing as we remember.

Injustice 2 will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One on May 16.
