New Datamine Shows There's More To Pokemon Go's Upcoming Halloween Treat

Niantic is rolling out a new update for Pokemon Go and it looks like the new file package will be bringing more than a few bug fixes to the game.

Earlier this weekend, Niantic announced that it would be sending out a new update to add several technical fixes to Pokemon Go, however, according to dataminers on The Silph Road, a splash screen located in the games' file package actually shows a number of ghost-type and dark-type Pokemon like Zubat, Murkrow, and Gengar along with a number of third-generation Pokemon like Bannette, Shuppet, Duskull, Dusclops and Sableye.

These Dark Pokemon have never been seen in Pokemon Go before, and it seems like the dataminers findings indicate that the Pokemon will be making their debut during the game's yearly Halloween event.

But that's not all. The game file also contains sounds for Pokemon species up to Pokedex entry 386 or Deoxys. This range encompasses the entirety of the third generation, and while only a number of Dark third generation Pokemon's code, the sound files might be an indication that Niantic is planning to bring more third generation Pokemon after the event.

Pokemon Go's Halloween 2017 event still hasn't been officially announced, but we'll keep everyone posted.
