Matrix 4 Audition Tapes Reveal the Original Trilogy is a Game Within the Universe

We've been getting steady updates on Lana Wachowski's upcoming Matrix follow-up, but as of now, fans are still guessing on what to expect when it comes to the plot. What's interesting is, some audition tapes have come out online that reveal that the original Matrix trilogy is actually a game within the universe of Matrix 4.

Thanks to Knight Edge Media, we have some videos of some actors auditioning for some kind of ‘geek' role, and you can see them supposedly gush about the original trilogy, but instead of a movie series, The Matrix is a game to them. It can be assumed that the "Mr. Sanderson" they're talking to in the audition is supposed to be Neo, and when the "MILF" walks in, it's a possible reference to Trinity. Then again, I'm just guessing at this point.

I guess the meta-approach is kind of interesting. We know that a reboot/sequel has been kind of Hollywood's bread and butter recently, but I never thought of an approach that would actually be meta. I don't know what to expect when it comes to the actual film, but I hope that the Wachowskis have something interesting in mind.

Admittedly, the Wachowskis have not been able to get the same high of their career as compared to when the Matrix came out, but that hasn't stopped them from trying. Hopefully, they manage to capture the same spirit, with some new insight, when it comes to this fourth movie.
