Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger Gets Character Breakdowns & Casting Details

Outside of The Defenders gang, Marvel is also forming another show based on a relatively obscure comic. Marvel's Cloak and Dagger has already been announced for Freeform in 2018, but even with such a far-off launch, new reports are swirling over the two possible leads and their character details.

That Hashtag Show, responsible for also bringing to the table the character breakdowns for Marvel's Inhumans, has received another file, this time for the two leads of Cloak and Dagger.

According to the character breakdowns, Travis, the male will be a 17-year-old African American guy who's fearless as a kid but encountered some tragedy. After that, he's become so afraid of not being able to control the world. While he focuses on school and basketball to take away the fear, the question is whether his braveness is still inside.

Tara, the 17-year-old female lead, is a southern girl who has the innocence of light. Again, another accident occurs that transforms her into a cynic and a thief to survive. While her goal is to take back for herself, there may still be light underneath her current darkness.

Another bit of news up Cloak and Dagger's alley is the casting. MCU Exchange had recently dug up some information that Cloak/Tyrone Johnson and Dagger/Tandy Bowen will supposedly be portrayed by Noah Gray-Cabey and Debby Ryan.

Casting makes sense not only in that the two leads are passable in terms of the age for their counterparts, but also because Cloak and Dagger is supposed to start filming in New Orleans as early as next month to meet its 2018 launch on Freeform.
