Luke’s Final Costume For Star Wars: The Last Jedi Hints At The Grey Side

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson may have promised fans that merchandise for the film won't spoil any of the major plot points for the upcoming sequel trilogy installment, however, it seems like The Last Jedi toys give away a few small details on the highly-anticipated Star Wars movie.

One of these is the Star Wars Card Trader, a collection of trading cards by Topps. While fairly innocent for the most part, one of the cards shows off Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in what is speculated to be the character's final costume in The Last Jedi.

Check it out down here:

Though Luke's outfit looks like regular Jedi garb, the robes look much browner compared to other outfits featured in previous promotional material for The Last Jedi. Possibly a piece of concept art from The Last Jedi's pre-production or a commissioned art piece by Topps, this new image of Luke shows a few similarities between Luke and his father, Anakin (Hayden Christensen) in Revenge of the Sith. The garb also seems to take the middle ground between his light brown robes and the black robes he had on while posing for the front cover of Entertainment Weekly.

Could the outfit possibly symbolize Luke leaning towards the Grey Side of the Force? Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
