Lucasfilm Considering Spinoffs For Yoda And Boba Fett

There have been a lot of rumors about an Obi-Wan or Boba Fett spinoff making its way to the Star Wars franchise and while recent reports confirm that Lucasfilm is actually developing a standalone for Leia's only hope, it seems like the studio is still considering a movie for the bounty hunter Boba Fett and Grand Master Jedi Yoda.

Though its focus was entirely on the Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff, the article by The Hollywood Reporter that confirmed the development of new Star Wars standalone also revealed the news that Lucasfilm was also thinking of working on spinoffs for Yoda and Boba Fett.

While the article doesn't offer that much information on the potential standalones, it's unlikely that another confirmation will be made anytime soon. Lucasfilm already has a lot on its hands with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Star Wars: Episode IX, the Han Solo spinoff, and now the standalone for Obi-Wan.

If the studio really does decide on developing a movie for either of these characters, it's likely that Lucasfilm will release its confirmation after a year or so. Sure the wait is hard, but Star Wars fans have been on their toes waiting for Boba Fett to get his own movie ever since Josh Trank made his own Boba Fett test sizzle reel, so what's a few more years?

There's no release date for the Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff just yet, but we'll keep everyone updated as soon as we get word.
