Kitty Pryde and Colossus is Marvel's Wedding of the Century

Marvel previously announced that a big comic book wedding would be happening in June but didn't specify who would be tying the knot. Now we know that the lucky lovebirds are Kitty Pryde, who currently doesn't have a codename and Piotr Rasputin aka Colossus. Their love story has been told for decades and has been on-again-off-again like all comic romances.

The two had just gotten back together and Pryde had just popped the question to Colossus in this week's X-Men Gold #20. While that issue ended with a cliffhanger, this video from Marvel has pretty much confirmed that Piotr will be saying yes to Pryde's proposal. Since there will be 10 issues before the big marriage, it will be interesting to see how these two interact.

Of course, there are very few comic book marriages that end well. Reed Richards and Sue Storm, and Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are part of the lucky characters that have stayed married. Batman and Catwoman are currently engaged but things aren't looking too good, thanks to Wonder Woman. Marvel's already hinting at some drama at the end of the video, sarcastically asking "what could possibly go wrong?"
