Kit Harington, Gemma Chan Officially Join The Eternals, Key Concept Art Revealed


Kit Harington is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with Gemma Chan and Barry Keoghan. The Game of Thrones star has been cast in the highly anticipated The Eternals.

The announcement was made at D23 Expo 2019 as the cast of The Eternals was presented along with concept art of their characters. Harington will portray Dane Whitman, who is also known as the Black Knight. Chan will play the heroic Eternal Sersi while Keoghan was cast as Druig, a villainous Eternal.

The concept art was also unveiled at D23. It depicts each actor as their Eternals character. Check it out below.

Harington will be reunited with Game of Thrones co-star Richard Madden, who was previously confirmed as Ikaris in the movie. Chan, who previously appeared as Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel, is taking on her second MCU role. Keoghan is best known for his roles in The Killing of a Sacred Deer and Dunkirk. It's safe to say that these actors are going to amp up the already stellar cast of The Eternals.

The film's cast includes Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajax, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

The Eternals will be directed by Chloe Zhao and is currently in production. The film, which is set to be one of the major projects in Marvel's Phase 4, is scheduled for release on November 6, 2020.
