Justice League: The Flash’s Civilian Outfit Is A Superman: The Movie Easter Egg

We've been seeing images of Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash in the upcoming Justice League movie wearing a red checkered jacket, but little did we know that this was actually an homage to the classic Richard Donner Superman.

Check this out:

The outfit is almost identical to that of young Clark Kent (Jeff East) in the first Superman: The Movie. Seeing that The Flash is one of the youngest members of the team (besides Cyborg), I think it's a pretty cool reference that he's like a young Clark Kent, just discovering his powers and finding his place in the world.

Just looking at the amount of Easter Eggs in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I'm pretty sure Zack Snyder has a lot more references planned in Justice League. I'm sure we're going to be getting a buttload of analysis on the film once it comes out; heck, just the trailer alone is getting in-depth looks from fans.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes -- Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash -- it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League comes out Nov. 17.
