Justice League: A Closer Look At Ares, Artemis, And Zeus

Like it was teased in the trailers, we got to see an all-out war between the armies of Earth and Steppenwolf, and we also got to see the Greek gods of the DCEU make cameo appearances in the battle. A new image has leaked online of Zeus, Ares, and Artemis in costume.

Check them out:

For one, it's crazy how fit these guys are; they probably have bigger muscles than Henry Cavill. There's also some comparison between the concept art of Ares and the practical costume that we got in the film.

What's weird is, though we have a different actor playing Ares in this film, David Thewlis, who played him in Wonder Woman, is still credited in Justice League as Ares. We probably would have seen more of Thewlis in the original version of Snyder's film, but with WB demanding a lot of cuts, they probably had to lessen the screentime of the gods.

For now, people are clamoring for the release of a Snyder-cut of the movie, saying that Whedon didn't really stick close to what would be Zack Snyder's "vision" for the film. Some people have argued that no such cut exists, but there are also some who are positive that we could get a release if enough people signed the petition.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens with this "Ultimate cut" of the movie.

Catch Justice League out in theaters now.
