IT And Stranger Things Star Says Pennywise Is More Terrifying Than The Demogorgon

Finn Wolfhard has been lucky to have been cast in Stranger Things and the IT reboot, and we'll be seeing him again when Stranger Things 2 hits Netflix this October. Both franchises have been inspired by Stephen King, and both have supernatural villains, but Wolfhard thinks Pennywise is scarier than the Demogorgon hands down.

Speaking to GMA, Wolfhard explains:

"The Demogorgon you could kill, for real, but Pennywise can shapeshift into anything and is kind of immortal, in a sense. I think that's why he's scary, because he's more of a being."

It's true that the kids in IT will be having a hard time getting rid of Pennywise since the sequel is already being planned and it will deal with the kids now grown into adults and having to fend off Pennywise once and for all. At least we know that the Demogorgon is dead and a new threat is coming in Stranger Things season two.

As Wolfhard's role in IT, he's said to be playing Richie Tozier, a member of the Losers' Club who is the resident comedian. Sure he's not the lead kid like Mike in Stranger Things, but at least we could get a few laughs from him. Also, casting directors seem to love how Wolfhard can pull off "shy kid from the 80s" in his roles.

In the Town of Derry, the local kids are disappearing one by one, leaving behind bloody remains. In a place known as 'The Barrens', a group of seven kids are united by their horrifying and strange encounters with an evil clown and their determination to kill It.

IT hits theaters Sept. 8.
