How Finn Jones is Preparing For His Iron Fist Role

Finn Jones, the actor who played Sir Loras Tyrell in Game of Thrones, may not have the chance to show off his character's fighting prowess in the HBO's epic fantasy series, but he will have the chance to do that in the upcoming Netflix-exclusive Marvel TV series, Iron Fist.

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, the 28-year-old actor said talked about the training he's doing to shape up for the role. Jones is training for multiple hours a day doing weight training to "bulk up" and "kung fu and wushu mixed with a bit of tai chi,". He's also studying Buddhism and meditation.

"I've always dreamed of a role that bridged spiritual discipline and badass superhero," he told the magazine. "There's a contradiction in those elements that's going to be very fun to play."

It sounds like Jones is dedicated to embody the Iron Fist. We'll have to wait until 2017 to see how well he'll portray the role. In other Iron Fist news, a fellow Game of Thrones star was recently cast for the show.
