Guess Who Wants Kevin Smith to Direct an Episode for Gotham?

Kevin Smith has started to become a sort of household name for superhero TV series. Just earlier, he shared a little about his experience with working on Supergirl, which was full of effects as far as, well, every scene with her on it.

He has also done two episodes in The Flash, which were The Runaway Dinosaur and Killer Frost. Both are memorable ones that featured some pretty insane storylines, including Killer Frost's rampage of sorts.

Now Robin Lord Taylor, who plays the role of Oswald Cobblepot aka Penguin in Gotham seems to think that his show is missing out on the Kevin Smith directing action. And Smith isn't one to back down on the opportunity.

According to CBR (who spotted the tweet conversation), an earlier interview with Smith revealed that the other shows he was interested in directing included Gotham and Riverdale. From here, Taylor had responded in Twitter, with Smith expressing his interest for that opportunity to move forward.

This would be an interesting development in the DC TV franchise. Smith's work on both The Flash and Supergirl is admirable and among the great episodes of both series. And since Smith knows how to work within the series instead of going all-out with his ideas with no restraint, it could be a nice way to give a touch of similarity for the shows.

Gotham is set to come back with an insane episode on Jan. 30. Meanwhile, The Flash and Supergirl are both back on The CW in their respective time slots.
