It's finally the year when the much-awaited sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will arrive. But it's not just heading to theaters, but also to your favorite retail. That's because the tie-in toys are also coming this year to expand your collection by a long shot.
Announced via the official Marvel Collector Corps blog, fans can now have a sneak peek of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 gang can get in the limelight. More than just the main crew, there are other characters coming in, namely Nebula, Mantis, and Taserface.
"This series features a number of exclusives, like Rocket with dual guns (available exclusively at GameStop), Groot in jumpsuit (only at Walmart), Groot with patch (only at Hot Topic), action pose Star-Lord (only at Toys R Us), and a special super-sized 10" Groot, only at Target! Be sure to look for Star-Lord's masked chase variant, a 1 in 6 rarity!"
The special 10-inch variant of Groot also has its regular-sized counterpart, for those who would prefer to keep their collection uniform. The Dorbz line features all of the aforementioned characters, albeit the villains looking friendlier than they probably really are. This particular collection has retail exclusive offers, such as Walmart's Groot with Eye and Hot Topic's Groot with Patch.
The plushies are adorable, even if the variants only include Rocket, masked Star-Lord, and two versions of Baby Groot. Other merchandise worth checking out include Pint Size Heroes and Rock Candy.
All of the toy series are set to come out in February. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be out in theaters come spring.
