Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Bonus Clips Focus On The Secrets Behind Baby Groot

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has just recently received its Blu-Ray home release and now a number of behind-the-scenes clips of the emotionally-charged cosmic superhero movie has managed to make its way online, giving fans a closer look at the visual effects used on Rocket Racoon and Baby Groot.

Posted on Screenrant, Marvel fans get to see a few clips taken from the Living Planets and Talking Trees a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 featurette which focuses on the CGI characters in the film. Showcasing some of Groot's concept art, the video talks about how the production used a stand-in for Baby Groot to help Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and the rest of the Guardians cast interact with the talking tree.

Another clip taken from the featurette also shows how the production had to mix CGI and actual pyrotechnics to develop the Rocket-in-the-trees scene in the jump point planet where Rocket gets left behind to fix the team's ship.

There's also one clip focused on the development of the characters and the relationship between Rocket and Groot who's now become the "symbol of responsibility" for James Gunn's team of space misfits.

Though the clips don't really show off any surprises for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 or its upcoming sequel, the featurette does certainly show fans how much effort Gunn and his team put into bringing Baby Groot and Rocket to life.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is currently available in Blu-Ray and DVD.
