Sean Gunn Talks About Kraglin And Yondu’s Yaka In GOTG 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might hold another cosmic adventure for James Gunn's group of space misfits, however it seems like the loss the group experienced in the second installment of the Marvel trilogy continues to hang over their heads.

Yondu's (Michael Rooker) death had a deep impact on Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his team in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and it seems like the Ravager's First Mate might continue to carry the torch for his captain.

Speaking with ComicBook about the film's upcoming blu-ray release, Sean Gunn decided to open up about the effect Yondu has over Kraglin and how it would affect the third film in the Guardians trilogy.

"I think that Kraglin was fiercely loyal to Yondu all the time, and from Kraglin's point of view, he doesn't seem to be as loyal to the Ravagers as the Ravagers have been to him," the actor explained. "But then I think it's through Yondu's selflessness that Kraglin learns where his heart was and it brings things around...You never know where the story is going to go, but I know that Kraglin certainly learned something from Yondu's sacrifice."

Does this mean that Kraglin would take on Yondu's iconic yaka arrow in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? Gunn responds without certainty.

"Well, I don't know," Gunn admitted. "I think one of the fun parts about my job is that once the movie's over, I can step back and just be a fan for a little bit. I don't really know what's going to happen with Kraglin. I know where he is at the end of the movie, just like you do, which is that he's working on making that arrow fly. But who knows where that will end up. I have no idea, really."

Of course, it might be too early for Gunn's brother to decide what to do with Kraglin in the third Guardians movie. After all, the film's script has yet to be written and it might take a while with James busy supervising the Guardian's participation in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 gets its blu-ray release tomorrow, August 22.
