Fantastic Beasts’ Jude Law Shares Initial Thoughts About Albus Dumbledore

Casting for just about any role for the Harry Potter franchise is a very crucial thing for fans. A lot of people can still remember when the gang had come into their lives and even seen them grow from their first year at Hogwarts to the day they had to battle it off against Voldemort and his band of bad wizards and witches.

Now that we've gone beyond the seven-book series and into other areas as in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them territory, we're now faced with a new set of characters.

The casting for the young Albus Dumbledore was recently announced to be Jude Law, to the split-reactions of fans. Now, Law is finally giving his two cents' worth on the role and where he plans to take it.

Speaking in an interview with BBC, Law shared the first move that he wanted to do:

"My first port of call, I hope, is to meet JK Rowling and to talk exactly about that and find out who he is, and who she wants him to be. [I want to] learn a little bit more about her vision of this great man as a young man."

Law also admitted that there was a certain sense of fear in the given role. He shared that good jobs will always come with that kind of element, because you're trying to not only please the fans, but also one's self.

Whether or not we'll be seeing romance between Law's Albus and Johnny Depp's Gellert Grindelwald, especially after Rowling had clarified Albus's sexuality.

There's a lot to unpack and wait for in the Fantastic Beasts sequel. The movie is expected to be out in theaters sometime in November 2018.
