Fantastic Beasts 2 Officially Wraps Production

It seems like only a few weeks ago that we were getting some set photos from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and now it's been announced that the production has officially wrapped.

Check out the announcement:

Like the title suggests, there will be a major focus on the main villain of the first film who turned out to be Johnny Depp's Gellert Grindelwald; and though he was only mentioned in the first installment, Albus Dumbledore will be coming to the sequel in the flesh, played by Jude Law.

There have also been hints that would connect the movie to the first Harry Potter film, The Sorcerer's Stone; a prop from the set has a lock with the initials "N.F." which could stand for Nicholas Flamel, the alchemist who created the stone who was also good friends with Dumbledore.

Though I found the first movie a tad forgettable, I'm still curious on how J.K. Rowling plans to expand her Wizarding World to other countries. Since the setting is said to take place in Europe, maybe we can have a look at the French wizard school Beuxbatons.

Here's the short synopsis:

Magizoologist Newt Scamander joins forces with wizard Albus Dumbledore to battle the devious Gellert Grindelwald in 1920s Paris.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out Nov. 16, 2018.
