In case you missed it, Robert Pattinson is currently the top contender to take on the role vacated by Ben Affleck in Matt Reeves' upcoming DC film. That's right, the Harry Potter actor might be the next Batman. But who could be the new Catwoman? Fans are hoping it would be Pattinson's Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.
It was previously reported that Pattinson is Reeves' top choice to play the Caped Crusader in the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe flick. Although the casting has not yet been confirmed, people are already preparing for it. Some have started petitions begging Warner Bros. to look for a different actor for the role while others have begun fancasting the villains in the new movie. The most interesting choice for Catwoman? Kristen Stewart.
Although this could just be some Twilight fans hoping that Edward Cullen and Bella Swan are getting an onscreen reunion (with less sparkle), most fans are pointing out that Stewart might be a great choice for Selina Kyle. For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether Catwoman is even going to be part of the new Batman movie but we will post an update as soon as we get some new details.
Pattinson isn't the only one who could land the role of Batman in the new DC flick. X-Men: Dark Phoenix actor Nicholas Hoult is reportedly being considered as well. At this point, either actor could be cast in the next few weeks.
Pattinson is currently working on The Devil All The Time while Stewart is filming the Charlie's Angels reboot.
