Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry TV Spot Shows New & Old Characters

Fairy Tail is very much alive, thanks to the upcoming new feature film titled Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry. As the release date nears, fans are given yet another sneak peek at the characters, both old and new, and the character designs for the movie.

The trailer, seen below, don't really reveal much by way of the film's story. What we do get to see are a few teasers of the powers in store for our favorite Guild members. For starters, there's Natsu tapping into his Dragon Slayer abilities.

There' also one shot of him while he appears to be in training with Wendy. They are two of the Guild's Dragon Slayers, so it's possible that, given the title, we'll be seeing them and perhaps even Gajeel showing off some of these powers.

Gruvia shippers will be happy to know that there will be at least one scene where Gray and Juvia will be fighting side-by-side. Lucy is still being the girl who has to show some skin. Perhaps that little dance is so they could get into something that they would otherwise need permission for? Well, it's not like we're at all surprised.

The trailer is not without a few new faces, some of them potentially bringing more harm than peace to the characters. Igneel is also making an appearance—or we think that's him, given his similarity to the dragon we've seen in the anime.

Happy has his own little spot in the trailer where he seems to have turned from his usual blue happy self to an odd red. This surprises Natsu just as much, so we'd want to know the events that led to it.

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry will be out in theaters in Japan on May 6. There are no confirmed dates yet for the expected international release.
