Following its initial announcement back in January, the Failure Frame anime's Summer 2024 release date window has been confirmed via a new trailer.
The show's previous trailer already revealed the studio as well as its staff members. Now, the latest video details even more info, including its main voice cast.
Studio and Staff Announced for Failure Frame Adaptation
The Failure Frame anime is based on an ongoing light novel series of the same name. Handling production duties for this show are Seven Arcs and SynergySP.
Seven Arcs is best known for working on popular shows such as Blue Period and Chained Soldier. Meanwhile, SynergySP is the studio behind Too Cute Crisis and Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2.
Directing the series at Seven Arcs is Michio Fukuda, the director of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan – Demon Capital. Fukuda also worked on notable titles like My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Z.
Joining Fukuda is Yasuhiro Nakanishi, who is in charge of the scripts. Nakanishi also worked on the scripts of shows such as Kaguya-sama: Love is War.
Failure Frame Story and Genre Explained
Failure Frame may seem like a sci-fi anime at first, but its full title betrays the series’ genre.
Officially titled Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything with Low-Level Spells, this series is an isekai anime that can also be classified as a dark fantasy because of its darker take on the genre.
Its story follows Mimori Touka who is summoned to a fantasy world along with his classmates. Soon, he is banished to a dungeon by the goddess who summoned them for being too weak to be a hero.
Mimori discovers that, despite only having an E-rank, he has unusual abilities. Because of this, Mimori vows to take revenge on the goddess that summoned them.

Failure Frame Anime Release Date Window Revealed
The anime's first trailer revealed that it will premiere in 2024. Finally, another trailer has been released and it confirms the show's July 2024 release date window.
This new trailer also reveals the show's opening theme titled HAZURE by Chogakuze, the singer of Too Cute Crisis' opening theme.
Right now, there's no word yet on a specific release date, though it's likely that the show will premiere early in July as that's usually when new Summer anime are released.
There's also no announcement yet on which platform the show will be streamed in outside Japan.
Meet the Failure Frame Anime's Voice Cast
With the show's premiere just months away, the main voice cast members have finally been revealed.
Currently, only the four main VAs have been highlighted in the new trailer. They include:
- Ryota Suzuki (Yuu Ishigami in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Toka Mimori
- Saki Miyashita (Shiori Sakurazaka in More than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers) as Celes Ashrain
- Ayami Tsukui (Young Pino in Tesla Note) as Pigimaru
- Ami Koshimizu (Holo in Spice and Wolf) as Vicious
